The suite was large and convenient to downtown.
However apart from that there was nothing very likeable.
The partial view of the mountains was nice, but we couldn't see the lake at all.

I spent quite a bit of time around downtown Queenstown.
I spent quite a bit of time around downtown Queenstown. It was very easy to get around and the people were quite friendly and helpful.
I ate at the "Boardwalk" and "Flame" -- both on the wharf side. I was disappointed in the food at the Flame (pork ribs), and also that the waiters didn't explain how large a portion I was ordering. In many NZ restaurants, you have a choice of ordering a "Main" or "Entree" portion. I enjoyed eating at the Boardwalk more.
The scenery is exceptionally beautiful there and the energy of the town was incredible to experience! I'm so glad I decided to visit Queenstown!

This was our fourth visit to Queenstown from Auckland, and the 3rd time staying at the Heritage Hotel. Because there are numerous road works around the town at present( May 2024) and also having to pay for parking everywhere we found it easier to go in by bus and leave the car at the Hotel which gave us more freedom to walk, sight see and get around.
There are an abundance of eateries around Queenstown. Pog Mahones Irish pub. Eriks fish and chips food truck, and of course the famous Fers burgers. A short drive by car or on the bus is the the new shopping centre at Franklin not far from the airport , which takes around 15 mins, where we had lunch at Billy`s cafe, and also lunch at the Coffee club.
In Queenstown, we took the Lunch time cruise on the Earnslaw steamboat up to Walter peak sheep station. Beautiful lunch and scenery.
walked around the Botanical gardens.
Its a lovely drive by car or bus to Arrowtown you can go one way and return via lake Hayes. While there pop into the Fork and tap pub.

The traffic management situation is problematic.
The traffic management situation is problematic. Queenstown seems to be overloved causing traffic issues which are exacerbated by road works all over the place. Don’t expect to solve the parking riddle easily.
Apart from these issues Queenstown is great place with great scenery and a good vibe.

Absolutely stunning place.
Absolutely stunning place. Scenery is amazing, some lovely walks in and around the town centre. We didn't have a car and didn't need one at all, so easy to walk around. Well maintained beautiful town and lakefront. Lots of great places for food and not all expensive. The gondola is a must, spectacular views. Also our trip on the TSS Earnslaw another must-do in our opinion! We were not there for adventure activities and you don't need to have lots of stuff booked as there is more to the place than that! Highly recommend Remarkable Scenic Tours also as a great way to see the area. This was our first time visiting Queenstown and certainly wont be the last!

Beautiful landscapes and scenery, lot of places to try different foods and activities to do and Queenstown is a stones throw away from the outer towns e.g. Cardrona, Wanaka, Cromwell, Arrowtown which we visited. Definitely worth a visit and the drive and scenary were spectacular. We went on two jet boat rides, to the Onsen Spas and up the Gondala for dinner at the Stratosphere Restaurant (food was great but it was very busy). Had our first Ferg Burger which was delish!! Overall, a great trip!!

We loved our 4 day trip to Queenstown, and the surrounding region, had a wander around Arrowtown, lunch at the Fork & Tap Pub was squid and cheeseboard was it was delicious. We caught up with family that have recently moved to Cromwell and loved seeing this area. We enjoyed a drive through to Wanaka around the stunning homes being built there, in the evening we enjoyed dinner at Blu Kanu, we had the chef selection and it was exceptional, we are still talking about it. We had lunch at Ayrburn at the Manure Shed (seriously) we enjoyed the wine tasting and another lovely cheeseboard, not as good as Fork & Tap, but still excellent and the surroundings are out of this world gorgeous We enjoyed a drive through to Glenorchy, we also had dinner at Botswana Butchery which always delvers an amazing level of service. A truely relaxing break away from Auckland. Even though our accommodation was not perfect, we were not there much and loved every minute in Queenstown.
There are so many positives in regards to this hotel. The location was great. A five minute walk down the hill and you are in the centre of Queenstown and all it has to offer. The room was spacious, warm and inviting. Add to that the little extras on offer- NZ lollies and Happy Hour from 5-6 every night and it made for a really enjoyable stay. Of course the staff are always the icing on the cake in any hotel review and they were all wonderful. Friendly, professional and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
We love staying in The Rees Hotel & Luxury Apartments. I am always a bit anxious when travelling with families. But I'm glad we had a decent stay for 5 nights. The hotel apartments are beautiful and the food at the restaurant was delicious. Kids' meals were NZD12 in a big portion(See photo fish and chips). Hotel service was great! The location, the views, and everything else were just wonderful! Highly recommended it if you are going to queenstown.
Great view of Lake Wakatipu. Free parking on site and a close walk to the Queenstown town centre. The room was spacious and the beds were some of comfiest beds my wife and I have ever slept on in a hotel. Daily room service was also great.
Other helpful things included the spacious lounge for guests on the bottom floor plus laundry/dryer (coin operated) facilities on site. There's also a bus stop handily in front of the hotel.
The hotel is 10 min from airport and 10 min from Town centre, free shuttle every our to the centre. Everything was good about the hotel, amazing view , quiet location, good breakfast, very helpful, friendly and polite staff , in our 3 bedroom apartment we’ve got washing and drying machines that really helped us. We enjoyed the terrace and sitting hall with fire place, beds are comfortable, very clean overall
This new hotel beside the Airport is a great stopover option for Queenstown. The hotel facilities themselves are great - modern, clean, comfortable apartments with everything you need (including a washer and dryer). And within close vicinity of the hotel there are shops and restaurants. The 15min walk to the airport is easy, making travel to/from Queenstown much easier than a central Queenstown stopover.
The location is reasonably close to Queenstown central but need to pass through a steep slope (so need to be careful for elderly and physically handicapped). The hotel is also within easy reach to Queenstown Hill & Time walk. The bed are comfortable and room air-conditioning is great and reactive (motion sensor). Staff are friendly and helpful.
Amazing location, free parking available. Booked From Queenstown: Milford Sound Full-Day Trip by Bus & Boat and got picked up from Copthorne Hotel & Apartments Queenstown Lakeview, 88 Frankton Road, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand opposite to this hotel. Amazing stay and will recommend to others the same. Will be back again soon :-)
Great location. Everything about the hotel is exceptional. Quality of facility, rooms, service, breakfast, cleanliness, all very good. Loved the complimentary cocktail hour every evening, great way to meet fellow guests over canapes and a glass (or two) of wine. The hotel is not cheap, but it is very good value!
Spacious fully fitted out 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with one carpark. Location was great, a five minute walk to town. View across to the gondola, central Queenstown and peeks of the lake. The apartment was clean and furnished really well. Nicer for me to stay in than a hotel.
Nice hotel apartment located near the airport and within the Remarkables shopping centre, so very handy for all your shopping and restaurant needs. The room had a small kitchenette to satisfy your cooking requirements and the hotel provided free, albeit limited, parking.
Location could not have been better. A short walk to town centre but yet quiet. The Queenstown Hill hike is directly in front of the hotel beginning on Malaghan street. The staff was helpful on several occasions. The room and shower were clean.
Very comfortable. Loved the laundry and kitchen facilities. View was also good (apart from construction going on). Very friendly staff. Convenient location near The Remarkables shopping centre and short drive to airport and Queenstown waterfront.
Excellent stay at Chalet Queenstown! Location is in the quieter part of Queenstown and a short walk from the centre. Hosts were wonderful and the hot breakfast each morning was delicious! Beautiful lake views from the room.
Only real plus for me was the restaurants at the other hotel at the bottom of the hill, which had good food and staff.
Also, the fact we could get the water taxi over to the centre of Queenstown and back was good.
The accomodation is very near to town centre, room was big, clean and comfortable with a nice spa bath and a small kitchenette.
Cheaper that most of the accomodation in the super overpriced Queenstown.
The hotel was located very centrally - perfect for exploring Queenstown! The staff were lovely and very available/responsive to our requests. Very quiet at night which was helpful.
Everything particularly the staff. from the front desk to room service to housekeeping. Very helpful and the hotel was immaculate. Best views in Queenstown from our room
